Bova Trax

Some Ranges never go out of style

they just step up their game

Launching September 2021

On the right Trax

When we launched TRAX a decade ago, we changed the game in safety footwear. The range was purpose-engineered in consultation with an expert podiatrist, resulting in fit and performance like no other. For the first time, TRAX combined supreme comfort with the ability to stand up to the tough conditions of the manufacturing environment.

TRAX footwear has been a tried and tested favourite for over 10 years, but as technology advances, so do we. We’ve been hard at work re-engineering the entire line and are proud to launch an expanded and improved range with the same approach to safety and comfort, but with some great new features:

Flexibity*

IMPROVED DURABILITY AT CRITICAL FLEX POINTS:

As manufacturers, we look to the Sole Flex test outlined in the IS0 20345 requirements to gauge how our products will perform in real life situations.

*The new TRAX soles not only beat the industry requirement 22 times over, but outperformed the current range by almost 8 times.

Improved natural foot action for better circulation:

When we walk, muscle motion in our feet and legs naturally assists in pumping blood up through the body. More flexibility in the sole means more natural foot action and better blood circulation. This is associated with less fatigue and greater focus

*According to tests conducted in our in-house laboratory
WEIGHT REDUCED BY

SAVING ENERGY WITH EVERY STEP:

If you spend an average of 4 hours on your feet, taking between 8,000 and 10,000 steps per day, the stress adds up. TRAX’s new, lighter weight sole takes the equivalent of 1,3kgs off the back, and reduces the energy exerted by 2,8% per step.

Plus, everything that made

Trax great to begin with

When we originally designed TRAX, the ergonomic design and comfort technology was so ahead of its time, it’s still relevant today. So, you can still look forward to the fundamental features that have made TRAX a favourite for over a decade.

The trifactor of comfort

When standing and walking, your feet carry up to 3 times your bodyweight, mainly in the ball and heel areas

TRAX FEATURES 3 CUSTOM-ENGINEERED LAYERS THAT WORK TOGETHER TO ABSORB SHOCK, REDUCE FATIGUE AND IMPROVE OVERALL COMFORT.

1. Dual Density PU Sole with EVA insert & Shank reinforcement:

Improved shock absorbency and torsion controls.

3. Hybrid Top Sock:

The EVA base moulds itself to the foot for increased comfort and support. PORON inserts at the ball and heel areas support the foot where it matters most, ensuring dynamic impact compression and a gentle rebound with every step. Polyester and wool constructed upper, treated with Ultra-Fresh* technology absorbs perspiration and improves foot health

2. Insole with Poron Inserts:

Excellent impact and vibration absorbency.

Ergonomic Design and generous toe cap:

Working with a podiatric expert, we embarked on a project to take foot measurements from a broad spectrum of South African men, covering major industries and ethnic profiles, looking at size and variation in flexion positions. This helped us develop an ergonomic construction that meets the needs of the majority of people in the country. With the right fit, that means reduced torsion on the foot, resulting in less fatigue and greater comfort.

South Africans also tend to have wider feet on average, so many imported styles pinch the toes and cause irritation. We used our data to develop an extra-wide fitting steel toe cap that provides protection without any discomfort.
