Podiatry Association of South Africa (PASA)
PASA approved styles are ergonomically designed, manufactured and tested in order to increase overall foot health and reduce the incidence of foot discomfort as approved by qualified podiatrists.
ENERGISER Woollen TOP SOCK TECHNOLOGY
Made from a combination of polyester and wool and treated with Ultra-Fresh, the top sock has anti-microbial properties that fight fungal and bacterial infections.
Vibram is the world leader in rubber sole technology. The BOVA Extreme Slip Range, featuring the Vibram Rubber Sole, utilises this renowned traction engineering to provide superior slip resistance.
PORON / EVA CUSHIONED TOP SOCK TECHNOLOGY
The top sock responds to temperature and weight and moulds to the shape of each wearer’s foot. The Poron insert at the front and heel of the foot provides optimum support where it is needed most. Benefits of this top sock include: shock absorption, a reduction in aches and fatigue and increased comfort.
DCR is an innovative soling technology offered by only a handful of manufacturers across the globe. DCR soling units offer superior durability, 300ºC direct and radiant heat resistance, 100% waterproof resistance, SRC slip resistance and provides enhanced shock absorbency without compromising on comfort.
GELONAIRTM TOP SOCK TECHNOLOGY
Moulded from a thermoplastic rubber gel material, the top sock delivers high cushion energy before and after compression, resulting in improved vascular micro-circulation of the foot.
This internationally patented microbial technology protects various products (including spacesuits), giving it a longer lifespan, lasting performance, odour control, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial protection. Every BOVA shoe and boot includes Ultra-Fresh Technology moisture management. Ultra-Fresh is a registered trademark of Thomson Research Associates, Inc.
ELASTOPANTM CLIMATE CONTROL TOP SOCK
This anti-static top sock is made from anatomically moulded Polyurethane that responds to temperature and weight, taking on the shape of each wearer’s foot. The Polyurethane compound enhances climate control within the boot through its fast-acting moisture absorption and is treated with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
RUCO-BAC AGP TECHNOLOGY
A silver-based, anti-microbial technology that fights foot odour, allergies and infections. BOVA Sox are treated with a Ruco-Bac AGP anti-microbial silver based technology that utilises nano particles of silver chloride. 95% of bacteria is killed within two hours. This product is environmentally-friendly.

200 Joules compliance means that the toe cap's impact resistance is tested by a steel striker of mass 20kg ±0.4kg adapted to fall freely on vertical guides from a predetermined height of 1000mm.

Cool Air Vent:
Our work shirts have been engineered to include cool air vents on the back and under the arm to allow for ventilation and heat suppression.
BOVA Safety Wear makes use of YKK zippers, a global leader in fastening products. This quality selection improves the durability of the garments, enhancing their longevity. YKK zippers conform to SANS 1822 standards
All garments within our range have been engineered with an additional 3% shrinkage allowance to withstand regular washes, thereby enhancing the longevity of the garments.
ELASTICATED WAIST BAND:
This feature provides flexibility and comfort to the wearer, enabling them to move freely while at work, without the restrictions of a belt.
Many of the garments within our range feature a pen division for enhanced convenience.

Fabrics and Treatments
Meeting your safety requirements means ensuring that we have a range of fabrics and treatments to fit your needs.
65/35 POLY COTTON:
This fabric comprises 35% cotton and 65% polyester. Cotton is a natural fibre that is known for its breathability, while polyester is a man-made fibre that is known for its resilience and washability. When polyester is blended with cotton, the resultant fabric offers better crease resistance.
This fabric is made from 100% cotton and is SABS approved. As a natural fibre, cotton is soft, highly breathable and acts as an insulator. The benefit of this fabric is that the wearer will remain cool in the summer months and warm in winter.View J54 Compliance Certificate
This fabric is made from 100% cotton and is SABS approved. The fabric is treated with either an acid resistant or flame retardant or both acid resistant and flame retardant finish, depending on the wearer's requirements.View D59 Compliance Certificate
This fabric is made from a combination of polyester and viscose. Similar to cotton in its feel, the material is man-made and absorbs perspiration quickly, making it skin-friendly, but with little thermal properties.
The luminous fabric used in our High VIZ range comprises 50% polyester and 50% cotton. This is a highly visible fabric that offers extreme visibility in low to no light conditions. This fabric is applied to one or two types of base fabrics; either 65/35 poly cotton or 100% cotton.
Our acid resistant range is chemically treated to protect users in corrosive environments by defending against acid splashes and acid burns.
Our flame retardant range is chemically treated to ensure that the material has the ability to self-extinguish upon the removal of an ignition source, such as a flame or spark.
